North County /// San Diego. New Edit. Stay Tuned.

Where you live has an effect on who you are and how you live. Also, the culture you live in plays a vital role in shaping your personality. I've had the opportunity to live in three different areas of San Diego county. Each area has made an impact on me. They've shaped me as a person and as a professional surfer.

Happy New Year // Year in Review

Happy New Year to all! 2012 fell off the face of the (Mayan Calendar) earth and it's now 2013...so weird to think. Some see the new year as just another day while some see the new year as a fresh start. No matter what you believe it's important to review the past year and plan for the future. Here are some of my highlights for 2012 and will be looking to better in 2013:

Beginning to look a lot like Christmas...waves are abound

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...waves are abound. I hope you all have been scoring some fun surf, warm coffee, and are gearing up for Christmas! I was fortunate enough to be home for this last swell. I spent a lot of time surfing these waves growing up and was happy to be back in my hometown La Jolla. I can't tell you where the photos were taken but I will say the photographer got a unique angle and portrayed depth with the framing. I am stoked on the way the shots turned out. Stay tuned and ready as more "swell" is on the horizon.

Swell hits home

There is a rush like no other surfing good waves at home. Here I am racing this wave in hope of an exit.

Drawing lines during fall times. We southern california surfers can only hope the rest of fall produces swell like that of this last swell.

It's been a month and a half since I've been home and it feels quite nice. Here are some photos from my first session back.
